Heat on the rise this weekendPEORIA (25News Now) - A few storm chances will continue throughout the weekend, but the main headline will be the return of dangerous heat over the next several days. Temperatures will reach the upper 80′s this afternoon after another round of patchy fog out the door. Some areas will feel like the lower 90′s with the humidity today. Heat will build, with the main focus of Sunday and Monday. Highs will reach the mid 90′s both afternoons and heat index values up to 100-105 will be possible. If you plan on being outdoors, make sure to stay hydrated, take it easy and take plenty of breaks as needed if doing any work. A few storms will be possible Saturday and early Sunday morning. An isolated strong to severe storm will be possible, but many look to trend dry. Stay cool and hydrated this weekend!Peoria, IL8 hours ago
